Almost 400 high school coaches visited practice and attended a clinic featuring the Alabama coaching staff as well as former Tide coach Homer Smith. "They're the breath and soul of this program and we feel like they need to know that," Alabama head coach Mike Price said.
Price said that his players had a lot of pep in the workout, and that working without pads really helped the effort. He said that tomorrow's 2 p.m. scrimmage would feature "our best players against our best players."
Price also looked forward to the A-day game next Saturday. "We're going to try to do everything like a real game," he said. "I want to put pressure on our players and coaches and make it as much like a real game as possible."
