TUSCALOOSA - University of Alabama senior forward Erwin Dudley has been voted All-District by the United States Basketball Writers Association. Dudley, the 2002 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year, has led the SEC in rebounding for three consecutive years, the first player to do so since Shaquille O'Neal was a player at LSU. Dudley also ranks among the league's top ten in scoring and led the SEC this season in SEC vs. SEC games in field goal percentage.
Joining him on the All-District IV team, which represents players from Division I schools in the states of Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida are Georgia's Jarvis Hayes, Florida's Matt Bonner, Mississippi State's Mario Austin, Tennessee's Ron Slay, Kentucky's Keith Bogans, Louisville's Reece Gaines, Auburn's Marquis Daniels, Memphis' Chris Massie and Georgia's Ezra Williams.
Dudley was voted All-District earlier this month by the National Association of Basketball Coaches as well.
