Alabama Men's Track Ranked No. 11

The University of Alabama men’s track and field team checked in a No. 11 in the latest Trackwire Online Top 25.
The Crimson Tide joins seven other Southeastern Conference schools in the top 11 as all schools in the SEC that sponsor track and field can be found in the Top 25.
The LSU Tigers continue to hold on to the top spot in the poll while the Arkansas Razorbacks come in at No. 2.
Bama currently has eight athletes ranked in the Top 10 of their respective events in the SEC. Latonel Williams ranks 10th in the 60m sprint (6.76), Devon Ward ranks eighth in the 200m dash (21.38), O’Neil Wright ranks ninth in the 400m, Peter Etoot checks in at seventh in the mile (4:09.05), Peter Kiprono ranks fourth, which is the highest among Bama athletes in the 3k (8:13.37), Kevin McDonough also ranks fourth, but in the 5k (15:08.38), Gabe Warren’s 6’08.75” in the high jump ranks eighth and Matt Vogtner ranks 10th in the pole vault (15’11.00).
The Tide travels to Gainesville, Florida this weekend to participate in the Gator Invitational, a meet that will feature six other SEC schools four of which are ranked in the Top 10.
