Golden Flake A-Day You Be the Coach

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.—One Alabama football fan will have the opportunity to be a coach for a day during Golden Flake A-Day presented by the Birmingham News and Aspreon Technologies at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Saturday, March 29th, Mark McCutcheon, President and CEO of Golden Flakes Snack Foods announced Thursday.
Golden Flake Snack Foods is conducting a contest through March 24th to select one fan to be an honorary coach at the Golden Flake A-Day game, the annual intersquad football game that marks the close of spring practice.
The honorary coach will be assigned to one of the teams and spend one half of the game in the team bench and one half in the coaches booth in the press box. At a point during the game the honorary coach will call a play from the team's list of plays for the game and participate in team activities as well as win several prizes.
"We are thrilled Golden Flake, as a 43-year sponsor of Alabama football, is serving as the game sponsor and is providing one lucky fan the opportunity to truly experience Crimson Tide football from the inside," Crimson Tide Sports Marketing General Manager Butch Henry said.
"Alabama has one of the most loyal fan base in all of sports, collegiate or professional," McCutcheon said. "I suspect most Tide fans have dreamed of being a coach on Bama's staff. Well, here is your chance."
Fans may enter the contest by logging onto http://www.goldenflake.com/ or http://www.rolltide.com/Promotions/GoldenFlake_2003.asp, the Athletics Department's official website. There is a limit of one entry per person and the contest in open to fans 21 years of age or older.
Coach Mike Price will draw the winning entry during the "Hey, Coach," statewide radio program, Monday, March 24th.

The game, which kicks off at 1:00 pm, will be broadcast on radio by the Crimson Tide Sports Network and televised live on CSS Network to 4 million homes in the Southeast.
