TUSCALOOSA - University of Alabama senior guard Terrance Meade, a starter in 17 games this season, sprained his left ankle during practice on Monday afternoon. It is doubtful that he will play in Wednesday night's game at Mississippi State as a result of the injury.
"It's disappointing, especially after he had such a great game at Tennessee and him being such a key part of that win at Tennessee," said Crimson Tide Head Coach Mark Gottfried. "Hopefully he can be back soon."
Meade, who averages 4.1 points a game, scored eight points in Alabama's win in Knoxville on Saturday, including two key 3-point baskets.
