- Homered in back-to-back games for Alabama against SE Missouri State (Feb. 22-23)
- Posted a .500 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage for the week
- Hearod hit his 25th career home run yesterday and his third career grand slam to give UA a 9-0 lead in the third inning
- Hearod has four of Alabama's seven home runs this season and has hit six home runs in its last seven games for the Crimson Tide, dating back to last year
- In those seven games for the Crimson Tide, Hearod has 13 hits, six home runs and 18 RBI
- He also leads Alabama with 13 RBI this season. Freshman Evan Bush is second on the team with seven RBI

- Pavkovich has posted back-to-back three-hit games for Alabama and is 6-for-8 (.750) with three doubles, one home run and three RBI in
the series - The three-hit game was Pavkovich's 10th career three-hit game for Alabama and 22nd multiple hit game of his career
- Pavkovich's last two home runs gave come against SE Missouri State, including one in last year's NCAA Regional
- For the week, he has compiled a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base mark

- Sophomore lefty Brent Carter went the distance in Alabama's 16-1 win over SEMO on Sunday, allowing one run and five hits for his second career complete game
- Carter also struck out a career-high nine batters in the win over SEMO, eclipsing his previous high of six against Florida Atlantic (6-2-02)
in last year's NCAA Tournament - The Americus, Ga., native has the last two complete games for the Crimson Tide
- In two games this past week, Carter allowed one run and five hits in 10 innings or work, recording 10 strikeouts
- Carter pitched one scoreless inning of relief agianst Centenary on Wednesday night, entering the game with two runners on base and no
outs in the eighth inning. He retired all three batters he faced and stranded the tying and winning run at second and third to help UA to a
4-3 win.
Alabama Team Notes
- Alabama defeated Centenary 4-3 on Feb. 19 to win its 10th straight home opener.
- Alabama coach Jim Wells surpassed Coach Tilden "Happy" Campbell for second-place on the all-time list for games coached with the Crimson Tide with his 528th game against SE Missouri State on Feb. 22. Wells enters this week with 529 games at UA.
- Alabama pounded out a season-high 16 runs and 15 hits in Sunday's win over SEMO.
- The 16 runs scored were the most by Alabama since a 17-3 win at Oklahoma last season.
- The 15-run margin of victory is the largest by Alabama since a 19-0 win over Mississippi Valley State last season.
- With that 16-1 win, Alabama has now won 36 consecutive games when scoring 10 or more runs.
- Overall, Alabama is 148-7 (.955) since 1995 when scoring double figures.
- Coach Wells is 183-10 (.948) in his career when his team's score 10 or more runs.
- Alabama has homered in consecutive games for the first time this season and has hit four home runs in the SEMO series.
- The Crimson Tide has hit five of its seven home runs this season with no outs.
- In addition, UA has hit six of its seven home runs in the first three innings of the game.
- Overall, Alabama has homered in five of seven games this year.
- Alabama has five home runs against right-handers and two against lefties, including one against Jon Nourie on Sunday.

- Bama has outscored the opposition 8-1 in the first inning this year.
- Hearod and Bush have combined for 20 RBI in six games this season. The remainder of the team has only 19 RBI.
- Bush had a career-high two hits and five RBI in UA's 16-1 win over SEMO on Sunday. He has six RBI in the series thus far.
- Prior to Sunday's game, Bush had gone hitless in his previous six at-bats.
- Welch has hit safely in all five games he has played this season (6-for-18, .333), the longest hitting streak of his career.
- Lyons has hit safely in all three of his starts this season for Alabama.
- Garner has hit safely in five of UA's six games this season.
- Junior catcher Bobby Burns started his first game for Alabama on Sunday and went 1-for-3 with his first carere home run. *Burns homered in his first career at-bat for the Crimson Tide, a solo blast to lead off the second inning.
- Burns is the sixth player in school history to hit a home run in his first at-bat and the first since Aaron Clark (vs. BYU) in 2000. - Junior Jeffrey Norris will start on the mound today for Alabama and becomes the seventh left-hander in seven games to start on the mound this season.
- Dating back to last year, Alabama has started a lefty on the mound in nine of its last 10 games.
- The last right-hander to start on the mound for Alabama was Josh Baker against Florida Atlantic in the championship game of the NCAA Regional.
- Alabama's starting pitching has compiled a 2-1 record with a 3.86 ERA (32.2 IP, 38 H, 21 R, 14 ER, 11 BB, 32 K) in six games this season. Opponents are batting .286 against the UA starting rotation.
- The bullpen has compiled a 2-1 record, three saves, and a 2.66 ERA (20.1 IP, 15 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 7 BB, 15) in five games. Opponents are hitting just .214 against Bama's relievers this year.
- Alabama's 23-game winning streak in regular season non-conference games was snapped with last night's 8-7 loss to SE Missouri. Prior to last night the last time UA lost a non-conference, regular-season home game was a 10-6 decision to UAB on April 10, 2001.
- The Crimson Tide is 74-20 (.787) in the month of February under coach Wells. The UA skipper is 108-39 (.737) in his 14-year career in the month of February.
- UA's 8-7 loss on Saturday night snapped a 16-game home winning streak in the month of February. The last loss at home in February was a 5-3 setback to Nicholls State on Feb. 13, 2001.
- Alabama is 71-40 (.640) in one-run games since 1995, including a 2-1 mark this season. Over the last two years, Alabama is 9-6 (.600) in one-run games.
