Bama Soccer to Play Alumni Game

The University of Alabama soccer program has announced that they will be playing an alumni game on Saturday, March 1.
The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and will the conclusion of a long day of soccer festivities which include the Hampton Inn Crimson Classic.
“We’re excited to have an opportunity to bring the alumni back here for this game,” said Alabama Head Coach Don Staley. “It will be a chance for the current members of the program to meet and mix with the women that helped start this program and get it to where it is today.”
The 2003 version of the Tide team, minus the incoming freshmen, will be coming off a long day of tournament play, which Staley thinks might help even the playing field for the alumni game.
“I think after playing all day some of our current players might be a little tired out, which will give the opportunity for some of the older alumni to keep up,” said Staley.
Tournament action will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude at 4:00 p.m. followed by the alumni game.
