The University of Alabama women's tennis team will face the Houston Cougars on Saturday at noon in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide jumped up two spots in the rankings this week to No. 31.
Alabama (5-1) enters the Houston match following a hard fought 6-1 loss to South Alabama last Sunday. The Crimson Tide's Millie Begovic is ranked 71st in the singles rankings and 38th in the doubles rankings with teammate Robin Stephenson.
Houston is 2-3 on the season after dropping to LSU this past weekend. Last year the Crimson Tide defeated the Houston Cougars 4-3 in Houston.
"It is another step in preparing us for SEC play," UA head coach Jenny Mainz said. "I think the team will be ready. We are glad to be back playing at home."
The match will be played at the UA Varsity Outdoor Courts. In the case of inclement weather, the match will be moved to the Hank Crisp Indoor Tennis Facility.
