Tide Men's Track Posts Three NCAA Qualifying Times

The No. 11 ranked (Trackwire Online) University of Alabama men's track team traveled to Gainesville, Florida to compete against some of the top competition in the country this season and they did not disappoint.
Latonel Williams, Peter Etoot and the 4x400m relay team all posted provisional qualifying times for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Williams posted a provisional time of 6.26 in the preliminary heat of the 55m dash and followed it up with a 6.23 in the final heat to claim third place in the event.
Etoot placed second in the 800m run with a provisional time of 1:50.74. However, his time was the fastest posted by collegiate runners.
The Tide's 4x400m relay team consisting of O'Neil Wright, Williams, Jeff Fedler and Curtis McBride posted a provisional time of 3:13.59 while finishing seventh in the event.
Elsewhere in the meet, Bama's distance medley relay team claimed first place with a time of 10:03.99. Distance runner Peter Kiprono posted a third place finish in the 3k with a time of 8:09.81 and pole vaulter Matt Vogtner had a good day finish seventh with a height of 16'04.75", which ranks seventh in Alabama track history.
The Crimson Tide will be in action again this weekend when the team heads to the Iowa State Invitational February 14-15, while a few athletes will travel to the Armory Invite in New York on February 15.
