Alabama (6-0) will be looking for its seventh consecutive win to begin the 2003 season on Wednesday at 1 p.m., hosting Tennessee-Chattanooga (0-6) at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
With a win the Crimson Tide would equal its best start since 1993. No Tide team has ever begun a season with more than seven straight wins.
Alabama's No. 3 singles player Chris Gostek will also be looking to extend an impressive streak. The junior from Toronto, Canada has not lost a set in six matches this season. He and senior Michael Ray Pallares are the only Tide players to record singles wins in all six dual matches this season.
Alabama and UTC have met only once before, an Alabama win in 1982. The match will be played at varsity courts, or at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility in case of inclement weather. Match scores will be updated live on rolltide.com.
