Bama's Missy Keller Named Soccerbuzz All-Region

Former University of Alabama soccer standout Missy Keller has been named a member of the Soccerbuzz All-Southeast Region Third team for her efforts during the 2002 season.
"It's a great honor and well deserved," said Alabama Head Coach Don Staley. "Missy is exactly what Alabama soccer is all about, which is dedication, pride and always giving 110% for her teammates, the program and the University of Alabama."
Keller, a defender from Hilton Head, South Carolina, helped lead the Tide to a 12-6-2 record and fell one game short of tying the school and SEC record for consecutive starts with 78. She was named also named All-SEC for the second time in her career.
Elsewhere in soccer action, the Crimson Tide hosted their annual post season banquet on Saturday where the awards were handed out.
Recipients included team MVP Missy Keller, defensive MVP Lauren Imwalle, offensive MVP Dawn Nash, Most Improved Rebecca Baker and the Coaches Award winner Kim Zarzour.
