“This class satisfied our needs for 2004,” said Green. “In this group we signed two very good, athletic setters and an outstanding outside hitter. Getting two setters for next season was our number one priority and we also needed depth on the outside. I feel like this is going to be an exciting class to watch mature over the next few seasons.”
Fuentez, a 5-11 native of Tomball, Texas, was a letterwinning performer at Tomball High School. An all-district standout, she helped lead her prep squad to a second place district finish and a No. 16 ranking in Texas class 5A. A member of the Hit Away club team which finished 17th at the 2002 Nationals.
“Bridget is a very dynamic athlete,” said Green. “She has played middle blocker in high school and club ball, but will likely move to the outside for us. She has above average ball control and possesses great lateral quickness. She is just a superior athlete.”

“The first thing that jumps out about Megan is her outgoing personality,” Green added. “She has a great court demeanor and demonstrates a lot of leadership. She is an outstanding setter who will benefit from getting to train as a setter year round. Has the skill and experience to set a very uptempo offense.”

“Brigitte is a dominant style setter,” said Green. “She has the total package including size and strength that give her an advantage at the net. She is a good blocker and a strong defensive player. Brigitte comes from a strong volleyball area. She has great hands and does a good job of setting a consistent ball.”
All three players signed with the Crimson Tide during the NCAA’s week long early signing period.
