Today's practice in helmets, shorts and shoulder pads was shorter than the normal Wednesday session.
"We had a shorter practice today, a lot shorter actually, just because we worked them really hard on Sunday and harder (Tuesday)." Coach Shula said. "We want to make sure everybody is feeling really fresh for Saturday. Thursday is normally a short practice and we may cut it even shorter. (The coaching staff) will talk about that tonight (and decide)."
Although the workout was not as long, the Crimson Tide was still able to get in the necessary work needed as they prepare for their annual battle with the Volunteers.
"We got more reps in during practice today," Shula added. "We spent a little less time teaching, so to speak, in between plays and just got more reps. It was a good day. We have had two pretty good practices this week."
Alabama will work out again on Thursday afternoon in preparation for the Tennessee game, which will be shown on national television by CBS Sports. The kickoff is set for 2:34 p.m. (CDT).
