Alabama To Host Basketball Coaching Clinic

TUSCALOOSA - On Thursday, October 23, University of Alabama basketball coach Mark Gottfried and staff will hold a coaching clinic. Mark Gottfried's Alabama Coaches Clinic begins with registration at 7:30 a.m. at Coleman Coliseum and the first session starts at 8:30 a.m.
Speakers include Gottfried and his Alabama coaching staff, assistants Philip Pearson, Orlando Early, and Tom Asbury as well as Basketball Hall of Fame member and former Tide coach C.M. Newton and Jim Harrick who coached UCLA to the 1995 NCAA Championship.
Cost of the clinic is $40 per person for the first two coaches and $20 for each additional coach from the same school. Cost includes clinic admission, clinic clipboard, and lunch.
Sessions include: "Fundamentals of Coaching Post Players" by Tide assistant and former Kansas State and Pepperdine head coach Asbury; "Quick Hitters From High Post Set" by Pearson; "Maximizing Offensive Basketball" by Harrick; "Developing Guard Skills" by Early; "Building a Championship Program" by Gottfried; and "Global State of Basketball" by Newton.
