Distance Runners Pace Tide Men at Air Force Invitational

Crimson Tide distance runners Peter Etoot and Peter Kiprono helped the No. 8 ranked (Trackwire.com) Alabama men's track team to a fifth place finish at the 2003 Air Force Invitational.
Etoot claimed a first place finish in the 800m run finishing over a second faster than his closest competitor with a time of 1:51.82. His time is the fastest this season in the event for the Tide.
Kiprono posted a second place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:22.14.
Bama's 4x440 relay team of Curtis McBride, Ward, Josh Spraggins and Etoot claimed first place with a time of 3:16.23.
Devon Ward also posted a strong second place finish in the 60m sprint with a time of 6.81.
The Crimson Tide finished with a total of 61 team points while the Colorado State Rams captured the meet title with a total of 109 points.
