TIDE CLOSES MONTH WITH ROAD SWING
The Alabama women's basketball team will conclude the month of January with a two-game road swing through the "Magnolia State". On Sunday, Alabama travels to Oxford, Miss., to face the Ole Miss Lady Rebels. Both teams are searching for a "W" as Bama looks to end a five-game drought and UM hopes to stop a four-game skid. Fo
* The Tide is looking to end their current five-game losing skid (four straight losses in the SEC). During this stretch, UA has failed to score more than 62 points in a game.
*Bama and Ole Miss are two of the league's top three-point shooters... The Lady Rebels average 7.0 treys per game while the Tide connects on 6.0 pg.
*The pair both opened the season strong... Alabama won their first 6 games and 10 of 12 to start the year while Ole Miss began 7-0 and reached 11-2 before their current slide.
*Both teams have dropped games to Georgia and Kentucky.
BAMA-UM SERIES NOTEBOOK
*This is the 37th meeting between the Tide and Lady Rebels. The pair have met each season since 1981. (see p.2 for series game listing)
*Ole Miss owns a 22-14 advantage in the all-time series with the Tide, but Alabama has enjoyed a lot of success in the last decade owning an 11-2 lead the past 10 years.
*Alabama's Rick Moody is 6-1 against UM under current Lady Rebel coach Ron Aldy.
*The Lady Rebels last win in the series came during the 2000-01 season when Mississippi earned a 65-57 victory over the Tide in Tuscaloosa.
*The Tide has captured a win in each of their last three visits to Oxford.
*3 of the last 5 meetings between UA & UM have been decided by three points or less.
