ALABAMA CLOSES OUT NON-CONFERENCE SLATE AT HOUSTON
The Crimson Tide will conclude their pre-conference schedule on Saturday afternoon when Bama visits Houston for a 2 p.m. tip-off. The game marks the last non-conference game of the year for the Tide, as UA opens SEC play on Jan. 12 at Kentucky.

*This is the third meeting between the Tide and Cougars, and the first match-up since 1991-92.

*The game features one of the nation's top scorers (Houston's Chandi Jones - 28.2 ppg) and one of the nation's top three-point shooters (Bama's Beth Vice - 3.0 treys made per game)
*The Cougars have won 4 straight at home this year and own a 2-1 mark versus SEC squads (def. Florida & Georgia, lost to MSU).
TIDE DUO EARNS ALL-TOURNEY HONORS
Senior Jamilah Johns and junior Manisha Redus were both named to the St. Peter's Holiday Classic all-tournament team after helping guide the Tide to the tournament title last week.
*Johns led the team in rebounding for both games, posting her fifth double-double of the year versus Bucknell with 12 pts/ 13 rebs. She led the team in scoring in the championship game scoring 19 including 14 in the second half.
*Redus scored just 8 pts (all FTs) but handed out 16 assists in the two games and posted a 5.3 to 1 assist-turnover ratio.
VICE JOINS 1,000 POINT CLUB
Alabama senior Beth Vice became the 19th Crimson Tide player to score 1,000 career points, when she drained a three-pointer with 9:35 left in the second half of Bama's game with Bucknell. Vice moved into 18th place on the UA all-time scoring list and needs just 3 points to takeover 17th place from current Tide assistant coach Brittney Ezell (1,022 points).
