Crimson Tide Volleyball Names Team Captains

TUSCALOOSA – Alabama senior setter Bridget Studnicka and sophomore setter Kenna Milner were selected team captains for 2002 by the Crimson Tide volleyball team on Wednesday.
Both players are returning starters for the Alabama squad with Studnicka serving as a team captain for the second consecutive season.
“I like the blend of leadership I see with these two athletes,” said UA head coach Judy Green. “They both have very strong leadership qualities and they will compliment each other both on and off the floor. Bridget is the epitome of a team leader and she is a total team player always keeping the team’s best interest in mind. Kenna has earned the respect of her teammates after committing herself to becoming the best possible player and student she can be this past summer.”
Studnicka and Milner lead the Crimson Tide into their season-opening tournament action this weekend when Alabama plays in the Barker GMC Classic in Normal, Ill. UA opens the season against Marshall at 5 p.m. on Friday night then plays a pair of matches against Florida State (10 a.m.) and Illinois State (7 p.m.) on Saturday.
