2006 (Senior): Appeared in 12 contests with six tackles and one tackle for a loss. He had one tackle against Hawai’i, Florida, Duke, Tennessee, LSU and Auburn. He played a season-high 31 snaps at Tennessee and finished the season with 195 total snaps. He played 15 or more snaps in seven games during the season.
2005 (Junior): Playing in 10 the Tide’s 12 games, Adams had nine tackles on the season, with one pass break-up and one quarterback pressure. He had a career-best three tackles against Utah State. He played a total of 113 snaps on the season, with a high of 21 against South Carolina.
2004 (Sophomore): J.P. saw action in three games, getting action against Western Carolina, Kentucky and Southern Miss.
2003 (Freshman): Although he dressed for several games, J.P. appeared in just one game, getting five snaps against Mississippi State. He earned the “Bear Bryant Best Non-Scholarship” award following spring practice.

Prep: Adams was a part of an undefeated regular season at Tuscaloosa County. He recorded eight sacks his junior season and seven sacks his senior year for the Wildcats. He is a 2002 graduate and played for Robert Higgenbotham. Adams received an advanced diploma, maintaining a 3.0 GPA.
Personal: The son of James Jr. and Grace Adams, J.P.'s full name is James Princeton Adams III. Born 6-28-84. He is a Civil Engineering major. He lists his dad as the leader he most admires. J.P. said he came to the University because he grew up watching Alabama football and admires the rich tradition at the school.
