Dominic missed the last half of spring practice following foot surgery, but will be ready for fall practice. He closed spring practice behind Rudy Griffin at the right defensive tackle spot.
2004 (Sophomore): Playing the left defensive tackle position, Dominic played in eight games, getting 100 snaps on the season. He finished with 13 tackles, including one stop behind the line. Dominic did not play against Kentucky, Tennessee, LSU and Minnesota. He had a career-high five tackles against South Carolina. Dominic had ankle surgery and missed the final three weeks of spring practice.
2003 (Freshman): Dominic was one of several true freshmen who saw action, playing in seven of the final nine games of the season. He had 186 snaps, with a season-high of 52 in the Arkansas game. He had 30 against Georgia and 25 each against Ole Miss and Auburn. He had nine tackles on the season, including 1.5 sacks for eight yards and one quarterback pressure. He had three tackles against Arkansas and two in the Mississippi State game.
Prep: Considered by most to be the state's top prep defensive lineman, Dominic earned 6A Lineman of the Year honors at Huffman High School. He played exclusively on defense as a senior and turned in 78 tackles, nine sacks, one caused fumble, one recovery and one blocked kick. He was a second-team USA Today All-America, a member of the Super All-State team and was a 1st team All-Region, All-South and the No. 3 prospect in Alabama by BorderWars.
Personal: He is the son of Perry and Robin Jones. Born 7-25-85. He is a General Studies major.
