Bobby was selected 6A Lineman of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association following his senior year. He had 128 tackles and 19 sacks for the 13-1 Lions, including a 10-tackle game in the state championship game against Hoover. He was selected to The Birmingham News' 2004 Super All-State Team. He was ranked No. 8 on The Birmingham News’ Super Senior list. He was chosen as The Montgomery Advertiser's 5A-6A Metro Player of the Year. He was No. 60 on The Mobile Press Register’s Super Southeast 120 list.
