2006 (Senior): Finished the season with 20 tackles, including 13 solo stops with one tackle for a loss, one caused fumble and two quarterback hurries. He had at least one tackle in nine of the 12 games. He recorded a career-high five tackles and forced a fumble in his final game at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He had four tackles against Florida International. He recorded three solo tackles, including one for a loss against Louisiana Monroe. He had two tackles against both Duke and LSU. Harris played a total of 189 snaps in 12 games. He played a season-high 26 snaps at LSU and had seven contests with 15 or more plays. He served as defensive captain for the Florida International game.
2005 (Junior): Harris saw action in every game for the Tide during the 2005 season, playing 147 snaps, including a season high 21 snaps against South Carolina and Florida. His biggest play came in Bama’s 31-3 win over Florida when he picked off a Chris Leak pass and returned it 14 yards to the Florida one-yard line to set up an Alabama touchdown. His high tackle game came against Middle Tennessee when he recorded two stops.
2004 (Sophomore): A back-up defensive end, Chris played in every game, getting 210 snaps. He had a high of 28 in the South Carolina game and played 27 against Minnesota in the Music City Bowl. Chris had 16 tackles on the season, three stops behind the line for 13 yards and 1.5 sacks for 11 yards . He also had one quarterback pressure and one pass break-up.
2003 (Freshman): Seeing action in seven of the final eight games, Chris played a total of 72 snaps. He closed the season with one tackle against Ole Miss. He had 17 snaps in that game.
2002 Redshirted
Prep: The first commitment to the Tide program in 2002, Chris is a speedy pass rusher who was a Tuscaloosa News All-West Alabama selection as a junior and senior. His senior season, Chris tallied 72 tackles and eight sacks. As a junior, he had 82 tackles and 17 sacks for the Tuscaloosa-Central Falcons. Harris was also selected to The Birmingham News Dandy Dozen, The Mobile Press Register Elite 18 and The Birmingham Post-Herald 10 Most Wanted teams. He was a SuperPrep All-America pick and rated the No. 31 defensive lineman in America. PrepStar ranked him as the No. 19 defensive lineman in the southeast.
Personal: Chris is the son of Orlando and Gloria Harris. He has a younger sister, Erin. He comes from a football family, as his father played at Jackson State, his cousin Anthony at Southern Miss and another cousin, Shaun Powell at Jackson State. Born 12-14-83. He is a Management major.
