Davis joined the Tide team for bowl practice and then enrolled fulltime for the spring semester, 2005. He closed out spring practice behind Kyle Tatum at the right tackle position.
Prep: A 2004 graduate of Sparta Academy, Drew was a dominant player in the Alabama Independent Schools Association, playing on the offensive and defensive lines. Davis was a five-year starter who, as an eighth-grader, started on the defensive line. As a senior, he was a first-team AISA All-State selection and was the AISA Lineman of the Year. Davis accumulated 44 tackles and five sacks in 11 games as a junior, while grading 90 percent on the offensive line.
Personal: The son of Jean and Scott Davis, Drew has one brother, Chris. Born 10-20-85. He is in pre-major studies.
