After three starting offensive linemen graduated from the 2004 squad, Chris used spring practice to nail down a starting spot at the vital left tackle position.
2004 (Freshman): Chris saw action in five games, getting 77 snaps on the season. He had a season-high 26 plays in the Western Carolina game. He was moved to left tackle for spring practice and continued in that position behind starter Wesley Britt.
2003 Redshirted
Prep: Chris was a first-team selection to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Class A All-State squad his senior year. He was also selected to the AJC's All-Area squad after helping lead Landmark Christian to 4,720 yards of total offense and an 11-1 record. He was one of only two juniors to the make the AJC's “Best in Atlanta and South Metro” squad in 2001. He also competed on Landmark's wrestling squad.
Personal: He is the son of Tricia and Jim Capps, Chris has one sister, Courtney Clair. Born 12-18-84. He is a Financial Planning major.
