An outstanding performance in the 6A state championship game, Reamer almost single-handily led Hoover to its third straight 6A state title against Prattville. In that game, Reamer had five tackles, blocked two punts -- one of which he scooped up and ran in for a touchdown -- and intercepted a pass that he returned 42 yards to set up a score. He had 92 tackles, seven interceptions, three sacks and two blocked punts his senior season. As a junior, he had 50 tackles, three interceptions and nine pass break-ups and totaled 81 tackles while splitting time at safety and linebacker. He was named the MVP of the 6A state championship game, which Hoover won 22-7 over Prattville. He was No. 12 on The Birmingham News’ Super Senior list.
