“We are very proud of Jen,” said sixth-year Bama head coach Judy Green. “She was an extremely hard worker on and off the court during her career and this is truly a well-deserved honor for her. She is an example of the type of student that our program is trying to recruit.”
A four-year letterwinner for the Tide, Wagner was a key contributor in UA’s back-to-back 20 win seasons the last two years. She finished her career ranked among the all-time Top 10 in digs and service aces at Alabama.
In addition to Wagner’s stellar work in the classroom, the rest of the Tide was not too shabby as the volleyball squad finished the 2001-02 year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.58. The volleyball team also led all women’s programs for number of community service hours.
