FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Alabama volleyball team lost a 3-0 decision to a hot running Arkansas Lady Razorback squad on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
Arkansas posted a school-record .494 hitting percentage en route to sweeping the Tide by the counts of 30-21, 30-20, 30-14. With the loss, Alabama remains winless in games played at Barnhill Arena and falls to 19-14 on the year.
"We played a very solid Arkansas team today," said UA head coach Judy Green. "They were just able to pass and serve much better than us. When a team plays like they did today it makes them very hard to beat."
All-SEC sophomore Erin Heffner led the Crimson Tide with 11 kills while freshman middle blocker Kelley Potter continued her strong late season play finishing with 10 kills and a team-leading eight digs. Potter also posted an impressive .412 hitting percentage. Setter Kenna Milner handed out 37 assists and matched Potter's defensive effort with eight digs of her own.
Sara Kincaid led the Lady 'Back offense with 12 kills and a .647 hitting performance. Arkansas senior Libby Windell had 10 kills with no errors in 16 attempts for a .625 percentage.
Alabama's season continues with a final regular season match at Wake Forest on Saturday, Nov. 30. Following that match, the Tide will await news on a possible NCAA Tournament invitation on Sunday, Dec. 1.
