Omni Hotels South Regionals Moved to Tuscaloosa

Due to rain, the Omni Hotels South Regionals moved from Troy, Alabama, to the Hank Crisp Indoor Tennis Facility on the campus of the University of Alabama.
The Crimson Tide had three doubles teams compete on day two of the tournament. In doubles draw "A", Ashley Bentley and Sophie Cremers won 8-2 over Sarah Suitor and Isabel Rosenbrock of Auburn. Bentley and Cremers then lost to Jennifer Magley and Zerena Reyes of Florida in round two 8-3.
Mille Begovic and Robin Stephenson combined for two wins for the Crimson Tide. Begovic and Stephenson won 8-2 over Emily Foster and Katharina Sadofsky of Southern Mississippi. In round two they won 8-4 over Justyna Switala and Yumi Ueda of Mississippi State.
Marie-France Lord-Andrade and Melissa Minor lost in the first round of doubles draw "A" 9-8 to Dumitrescu/Gheorgne of Florida State.
Day three of the South Regionals will begin Sunday morning in Tuscaloosa.
