A member of the Crimson Tide's executive staff, Jessica Paré oversees Alabama's external areas including athletics communications, Crimson Tide Productions, marketing, promotions, trademark licensing, photography and video operations and is liaison to Alabama's Learfield property, Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, and the SEC Network. Additionally, Paré handles sport administrative duties for baseball and previously supervised men's and women's tennis, served as interim for men's basketball and assisted with women's basketball.
Paré became Alabama's first female head of communications in 2017 before being elevated to deputy AD in 2021. She has been a part of several major projects including the creation of The Standard, Alabama's five-year strategic plan (2017-22), The Crimson Standard, a 10-year, $600 million capital campaign, The Advantage, Alabama's personal branding and NIL education program, as well as partnership extensions with Learfield, Fanatics and CLC. Paré was also involved in the hiring processes of head coaches Kalen DeBoer, Rob Vaughn, Ashley Johnston, Nate Oats, Glenn Putyrae and Rashinda Reed.
During Paré's 16 years in Tuscaloosa, the Tide has achieved record heights with its top four finishes in the Learfield Director's Cup as well as continually being one of the top producing programs in revenue generation through its corporate partnerships and licensing royalties.
Prior to Alabama, Paré worked for one year (2007-08) at the Women's Basketball Coaches Association as the Manager of Awards and Communications Coordinator. She began her professional career at the University of Georgia where she served as an intern in the sports communications office from 2006-07.
In addition to her collegiate experience, Paré has also worked in professional sports with a pair of stints as a game day media relations assistant for the Connecticut Sun in 2006 and the Atlanta Dream in the team's inaugural season in 2008.
Paré serves on the College Sports Communicators Division I Cabinet and was a member of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee Olympians Made Here Focus Group in its infancy. She previously served on the Women Leaders in College Sports Awards Committee.
A native of Milford, N.H., Paré earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 2006 with a double major in sports communications and journalism. She also holds a master's degree in sports management from The University of Alabama, which she finished in 2013.
To complement her formal education, Paré has participated in College Athletics Leadership Symposium's AD360, the Sports Management Institute Executive Program and both the Women Leaders in Sports Institute for Administrative Advancement and Leadership Enhancement Institute.
