Leigh Ann Terch is in her first season as a graduate assistant coach on the Crimson Tide[apos]s staff. Terch[apos]s coaching career comes after a standout four-year career as an Alabama rower, which culminated in the Birmingham, Ala., native being named to the All-Conference USA rowing squad as a senior.

Terch started her career by earning Alabama[apos]s Row Tide Pride award after leading her crew to a gold-medal finish in the Grand Final of the SIRA Championships Novice 8+ race.
As a junior, Terch was once again a part of a gold-medal-winning boat at the SIRA Championships, leading the Tide[apos]s Second Varsity 8+ to a first-place finish.
In the classroom, Terch was a regular on the Dean[apos]s and President[apos]s List and earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athlete honors as well as a place on the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll and the Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll. She graduated with a bachelor[apos]s degree in health studies
Prior to joining the Tide rowing team as a freshman in the fall of 2008, Terch played softball for Mountain Brook High School, serving as team captain as a senior.
