Before joining the Crimson Tide, Keaty spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Gonzaga with Putyrae. In her first two seasons, the Zags saw two straight WCC championships and advanced to the NCAA championships both seasons.
She served as a graduate assistant at Ithaca (N.Y.) College in 2014-15 and co-novice coach in 2015-16, seeing the program reach several top finishes. In the spring of 2015, Keaty coached the Varsity Lightweight 4+ to a third-place finish at the ECACÂ championships in the Open 4+ and led a pair of Varsity 4+'s to a first-place finish in the Open 4+ at the NIRCÂ championship.
From 2010-14, she rowed as a member of Gonzaga and served as team captain during the 2013-14 campaign. In 2013, Keaty was named West Coast Conference Rower of the Year as a junior, helping the Zags to a WCC title and a berth in the NCAA championships where they finished 19th overall.
