Bianca Arrington, a multiple-time gold medal finisher as a former rower at The Capstone, is entering her fourth year as an assistant coach of the Alabama rowing program. Arrington was named an assistant coach of her alma mater on Aug. 2, 2021.

2024 Season

Was a member of the Crimson Tide's coaching staff when the Southeastern Conference announced, Aug. 23, 2024, that rowing would become the conference's 22nd-sponsored sport and 13th women's sport
Arrington rowed for Alabama when the Tide competed as part of Conference-USA
Helped guide 33 rowers to the Academic All-Big 12 list and another 11 to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar Athlete list
Led the Tide to its second consecutive third-place team finish at the Big 12 Championships, as a trio of UA 1V8+ crew members earned All-Big 12 recognition
Saw Alabama's 3V8+ crew earn Big 12 Boat of the Week honors

2023 Season

Helped guide standout rower Gianna Rucki to CRCA/Pocock All-America honors as 12 additional rowers earned CRCA Scholar-Athlete recognition
Led the Tide to a third-place team finish at the Big 12 Championships, as four members of UA's 1V8+ crew received All-Big 12 accolades
Saw the Tide's First Varsity Eight crew earn Big 12 Boat of the Week honors

2022 Season

Saw standout rower Darcy Jennings earn Big 12 Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year for rowing as the Tide posted an additional league-leading 40 student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 Rowing Team list
In her first season as assistant coach, Arrington helped lead the Crimson Tide to its third consecutive second-place team finish at the Big 12 Championships, as half of UA's 1V8+ crew earned All-Big 12 accolades
Helped lead the Tide to a top-15 preseason ranking to begin the 2021-22 slate

Arrington's Time Prior to Coaching at Alabama

Between 2012 and 2021, Arrington served as both the head women's rowing coach at McLean High School, as well as the junior women's coach at TBC Racing in Washington D.C.
While with TBC, Arrington also rowed in the Open Women's competitive program
Additionally, Arrington also served as the Rowing Program Coordinator and Assistant Manager for Thompson Boat Center, GSI Inc. between 2016-19

While at the Capstone, Arrington earned gold medals with the Freshman 8+ in the grand finals of the 2009 SIRA Championships, the First Varsity 8+ at the 2011 SeaWorld Cal Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic and the grand finals of the 2011 SIRA Championships
