Since arriving at the University of Alabama in 2003, assistant coach Susan Rosenstiel has been a staple of the Crimson Tide women's golf program and helped transform the Tide into one of the premier golf program's in the country. During Rosenstiel's time at Alabama the program captured its first-ever national championship in 2012 and guided Emma Talley to the 2015 individual championship while coaching 36 All-Americans and 13 golfers who have gone on to compete on the LPGA Tour.
Career Accolades
- Along with head coach Mic Potter, led Alabama to the program's first-ever national championship in 2012
- Named the 2010 National Assistant Coach of the Year by the National Golf Coaches Association
- Served as an assistant coach for the United States team that competed in the Arnold Palmer Cup in Evian-les-Bains, France
Alabama - Assistant Coach (2003-Present)
- Enters her 23rd season as assistant coach for the Crimson Tide
- Coached two Honda Award National Player of the Year student-athletes in Brooke Pancake (2012) and Emma Talley (2015)
- Has produced 36 All-Americans, 72 WGCA All-Scholar Athletes, 66 All-SEC selections including five golfers named SEC Freshman of the Year and three SEC Player of the Year honorees
- Selected as the 2010 NGCA National Assistant Coach of the Year
- During Rosenstiel's time at UA, the Tide has had seven SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners in Darby Sligh (2004), Brooke Pancake (2010-12), Stephanie Meadow (2013-14) and Benedetta Moresco (2022)
- Won 40 tournament titles throughout her tenure at UA including three SEC championships, four NCAA regionals
- Sixteen players have claimed 34 individual titles under Rosenstiel
- The Tide has made 15 NCAA Championship appearances during Rosenstiel's time at UA
- While at UA, Rosenstiel has coached 13 golfers that have earned their LPGA tour card
- Coached Stephanie Meadow, who became Rosenstiel's first golfer to compete in the Olympics, competing for Ireland in 2016, 2020 and 2024
- In 2012 at the NCAA Championships, Alabama shot a 19-over 1,171 to edge Southern California by one shot over 72 holes to win the program's first national championship

- A graduate of the University of Florida, Rosenstiel majored in agriculture, food and resource economics and received her master's in exercise and sports science
