Caroline Bentley, a 2005 graduate of Furman University, was welcomed with open arms by the Alabama women[apos]s tennis family as a volunteer assistant coach in 2008.
A decorated tennis player herself, Bentley starred in the Furman lineup for four years earning Southern Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors in 2004 and 2005 along with Furman Tennis MVP accolades in those same years. She was also a four-time all-conference selection in both singles and doubles. Bentley was a member of four Southern Conference Regular Season Championships in addition to three Southern Conference Tournament Championships. During her senior season, she played primarily at the No. 2 singles position where she went 24-1. She carried that same record in doubles at the No. 1 position and ranked as high as No. 34 nationally with her partner.
Upon graduation, Bentley headed to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she spent two years as a coach.
The Huntsville native headed back to her home state where she is currently working towards her masters in business administration with a concentration in finance and real estate.
Bentley, the daughter of Alice and Bryan Bentley, has four younger sisters (Jenn - 25, Ivy - 20, Cameron - 20, and Bailey - 12).
