Crimson Reserve
Considered the top college golf practice facility in the nation, the Crimson Reserve serves as the home to the national champion University of Alabama men's and women's golf teams. Dedicated on Sept. 6, 2024, the complex sits less than one mile from the heart of campus on 164 acres of land. The facility includes offices, team and coach locker rooms and meeting areas, along with indoor practice spaces and a 7,200 yard, 9-hole course that's comparable to the average 18-hole course.
As part of the Crimson Standard Capital Initiative, the nearly $48 million facility proposed in February of 2023, quickly started construction in April of 2023, and was funded exclusively through gifts from the Crimson Standard.
With input from former Alabama golfers and current PGA TOUR members, Justin Thomas and Trey Mullinax, women's golf head coach Mic Potter, head men's golf coach Jay Seawell, Scot Sherman, lead architect for Love Golf Design, and Darren May, PGA TOUR instructor for many of the world's top golfers, the complex features a strategically designed 9-hole golf course across 16 acres. The one-of-a-kind course, built to challenge our golfers as they train to compete across the country, also includes additional short game practice areas for chipping, pitching, putting and bunker practice.
