2013 Men's Golf NCAA Championship
The Alabama men's golf team reached the pinnacle of collegiate golf in 2013, capturing the program's first NCAA Championship title The Crimson Tide also won the Southeastern Conference title and the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional on the way to the NCAA title at the Capital City Club's Crabapple Course located outside of Atlanta The Tide set a school record for team victories in a season with eight (out of 12 events) while winning the final six tournaments of the year and seven of eight on the spring schedule Alabama's national championship squad featured five All-Americans, including three first-team honorees in Bobby Wyatt, Cory Whitsett and Justin Thomas while Trey Mullinax and senior captain Scott Strohmeyer earned honorable mention accolades Whitsett was the SEC Player of the Year and shared SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors Strohmeyer finished his Alabama career by winning the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional title and then delivering a 2-0-1 record in match play at the NCAA Championships Head coach Jay Seawell capped off his 11th year at the Capstone with his first national championship and SEC Coach of the Year honors.
