Competed in the javelin at the SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships but did not record a mark ... finished fourth in the javelin at the Crimson Tide Invitational with a throw of 183-2 (55.83) ... finished fifth in the javelin at the season-opening UTSA Invitational with a throw of 177-5 (54.09m).

Finished sixth in the javelin at the SEC Relays with a throw of 192-1 (58.54m) ... finished seventh in the javelin at the Jim Bush Collegiate with a throw of 189-1 1/2 (57.65m) ... finished sixth in the javelin at the Crimson Tide Invitational with a throw of 195-10 (59.71m) ... finished 15th in the javelin at the Florida Relays with a season-best throw of 198-0 (60.36) ... finished eighth in the javelin at the Florida State Relays with a mark of 197-2 (58.70m) ... opened the 2017 outdoor season with a throw of 182-7 (58.23m) to finish seventh in the javelin at the Bulldog Relays.

Registered a throw of 186-8 (56.90m) in the javelin to finish 13th in the event at the SEC Championships … finished seventh in the javelin with a toss of 180-2 (54.91m) at the War Eagle Invitational … claimed fifth in the javelin with a throw of 203-11 (62.17m) … threw 183-11 (56.06m) in the Alabama Relays javelin competition to finish 12th.

Two-time AHSAA Class 5A state champion in the javelin (2012 and 2013) ... coached by Glenn McWaters at Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, Ala. .... won the 2013 AHSAA Class 5A javelin title with a throw of 171-4 (52.22 meters) ... won the 2012 AHSAA Class 5A javelin title as a sophomore with a throw of 172-2 (52.47m) ... also played quarterback on the football team ... began competing in track in the eighth grade ... in his first javelin competition as an eighth grader, he won the event at a meet that included high school athletes ... son of Mark and Julie Edwards ... born Sept. 17, 1995 in Birmingham, Ala.
