
Cheer Wins UCA Division IA All Girl National Championship

The Crimson Tide posted a winning score of 93.5 to claim its eighth national title
ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Alabama cheer team secured its second national title in as many seasons, as the Crimson Tide's performance in the final round of the UCA Division IA All Girl Championship cemented its status as national champions. Alabama posted a 93.5 in the event's final round, clearing South Florida and the Bulls' runner-up score of 89.6.
The national championship is the Tide's eighth in program history and is the squad's fourth all-time in the event, including its first since 2022.
After garnering a national title in the UCA Division IA Co-Ed event a season ago, Alabama closed fourth-overall in this year's competition, producing a final score of 87.1.
The Tide spirit squads also stood out in the Division IA Gameday Dance, Jazz and Mascot divisions of the 2026 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship. The Crimson Tide performed impressively to earn a trio of strong placements, first notching a third-place finish in the Game Day Dance Finals competition with a 90.81 score. The Tide followed its podium standing with a 90.51 score in the Division IA Jazz event, good for ninth. In closing, Alabama finished seventh in the field in the Division IA Mascot event after being judged for a final score of 89.48.
The three-day competition took place at ESPN's Wide World of Sports, with teams from across the country at all levels participating in the event. Teams were judged based on stunting, tumbling skills, crowd-leading abilities and overall performance.
