
Swimming and Diving Picks Up Three SEC Weekly Honors

Cadence Vincent, Tim Korstanje and Colten Cryer swept their events to lead the Tide to victory over Delta State
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Alabama swimming and diving team had three student-athletes earn Southeastern Conference weekly honors after the first week of competition, the league office announced Tuesday.
Tim Korstanje and Cadence Vincent were named the Male and Female Swimmers of the Week as both athletes claimed two individual event titles and paced two relay teams to victory. Colten Cryer swept the springboards, earning Male Diver of the Week honors.
About the Honorees
- Cadence Vincent ranks second nationally in two events after the opening weekend, holding a 22.10 50-free split from the 200 free relay and a career-best 1:48.12 in the 200 free. She won the 50 free with a time of 22.21.
- She also paced both relay teams to a first-place finish as the 200 medley relay posted a 1:37.66 and the 200 free relay secured a 1:31.90
- Tim Korstanje also secured two individual victories, winning the 50 free (20.03) by over two tenths of a second and the 100 fly (48.14) by nearly a second
- He propelled both relay teams to victory as the men's 200 medley relay clocked a time of 2:28.11 while the 200 free relay went 1:19.19
- Colten Cryer won both springboards against Delta State, eclipsing 350 points on the 3m board (350.63) and surpassing the 320 mark on the 1m (331.20)
- He claimed first place on the 1m board by over 11 points while winning the 3m board by over 30 points
