
Men's Tennis Places Eight on ITA Scholar-Athlete Team

The Crimson Tide was named an ITA All-Academic Team honoree for the 13th consecutive year
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Eight members of the Alabama men's tennis team were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete Team, the organization announced Monday.
Alabama's Enzo Aguiard, Zach Foster, Roan Jones, Matic Kriznik, Damien Nezar, Filip Planinsek, Brendan Loh and Andrii Zimnokh earned the individual honor, highlighted by Foster securing his fourth consecutive nod. Additionally, Alabama was named to the All-Academic Team for the 13th consecutive year.
In order to be named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team, a student-athlete must hold a 3.5 or higher GPA for the current academic year. ITA All-Academic Teams must have a team grade point average for 3.2 or above.
About the ITA Scholar-Athletes
- With the announcement, Alabama boasts eight honorees for the first time since 2022
- Zach Foster earned the honor for the fourth time in his career, while Roan Jones notched his third mention
- Both Filip Planinsek and Enzo Aguiard concluded their collegiate careers as two-time ITA Scholar-Athletes
- Andrii Zimnokh earned his second nod in as many years
- Damien Nezar, Matic Kriznik and Brendan Loh picked up their first ITA Scholar-Athlete honor
- The Crimson Tide has been named to the ITA All-Academic list every year since 2013
- The Tide recorded a 3.62 GPA for the fall and a 3.78 GPA during the spring semester
- Under head coach George Husack, Alabama has earned 72 ITA Scholar-Athlete honors in addition to claiming All-Academic Team recognition every season
