Former Women's Basketball Guard Aaliyah Nye Joins Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball

The Crimson Tide’s all-time three-point shooter will play in Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 4-28
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Former Alabama women's basketball guard and current Las Vegas Ace, Aaliyah Nye, has signed with Athletes Unlimited (AU) Pro Basketball for the 2026 season.
AU Pro Basketball will tip off its fifth championship season on Feb. 4, 2026, at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn., and will run until Feb. 28. The competition features a fast-paced, full-court, 5-on-5 format with an innovative scoring system where every player can lose or win points during each game.
Group and season tickets are available now for fans who wish to attend during the four-week season.
Aaliyah Nye
- Became Alabama's 10th overall draft pick in program history after being selected by the Las Vegas Aces as the 13th overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft
- Competed in every game so far during her rookie season with the Aces, making 21 appearances
- Earned her 100th career professional point against the Washington Mystics (July 10)
- Currently ranks in the WNBA top 25 for three-point percentage (21st; 36.7%)
- Played for the Crimson Tide from 2022-25, becoming the program's all-time three-pointer shooter
- Set the UA record for three-pointers made in a single season (111) during the 2024-25 season after she initially broke the record in 2023-24 (108)
- Led the Southeastern Conference in three-pointers made (111) and three pointers per game (3.4) last season
- Finished her collegiate career ranked fourth in the NCAA for made three pointers
