
Tide Amasses 20 Entries for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships

Twenty Crimson Tide student-athletes will head to Eugene, Ore., for the national meet
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama track and field program will have 20 entries at next week's NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, held June 11-14, at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
The Crimson Tide will be represented at next week's national meet by 20 student-athletes. The UA women have nine student-athletes listed in nine entries, while 11 student-athletes represent the men's team in 11 entries, including the 4x400-meter relay.
Marks to Know
- Collegiate record-holder and reigning steeplechase national champion Doris Lemngole returns to Hayward Field, alongside UA teammate Ezekiel Pitireng
- The Crimson Tide is one of two Southeastern Conference programs with student-athletes competing in both the men's and women's steeplechase prelims
- Katelyn Adel is Alabama's first student-athlete to compete in the women's heptathlon at the national meet since Kaylon Eppinger in 2012 who garnered honorable mention All-America honors
- Additionally, Adel is one of two freshmen in the heptathlon to medal at the 2025 SEC Championships
- Samuel Ogazi is the only 400-meter runner that advanced to the NCAA Championships to have earned a spot in last year's Paris Olympics, where he finished as an Olympic finalist representing Nigeria
- Megan Albamonti will be the Tide's first women's javelin representative at the national meet since Samantha Zelden who earned honorable mention All-America honors in 2022
- Miracle Ailes will be Alabama's first women's high jumper competing at the NCAA Championships since Stacey Destin who earned First-Team All-America recognition in 2019
- Mariia Horielova is the only underclassman in women's long jump that medaled at the 2025 SEC Championships
- Precious Nzeakor is one of only two SEC freshmen running in the women's 200-meter prelims
- 2025 marks the fifth consecutive year that the Crimson Tide will have at least one women's 10,000-meter runner compete at the National Championships
- With the advancement of the 2025 squad, Alabama will have had a men's 4x400-meter relay contingent compete at the national meet every year since 2019
- The Crimson Tide is the only program, nationally, to have two student-athletes competing in both the men's and women's shot put
- Alabama is the only school at the national meet with three student-athletes listed in both the 10,000m and the discus event finals
