
Alabama Soccer Hosts Summer Camps

The program offers five opportunities throughout the month of July for campers to grow their skill set
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama soccer will host five summer camps throughout the month of the July.
The Roll Tide Soccer Academy (RTSA) is designed to develop a player's skill set in a fun and engaging environment. Players will receive individual attention from an elite coaching staff comprised of high-level college and club coaches, including the Crimson Tide coaching staff.

Day Camp – Featuring Boys and Girls Entering Grades K-9th
Dates: July 7-10
Cost: Half Day – $289 (Entering grades K-9th) | Full Day – $520 (Includes 4 Lunches | Only open to Entering grades 2-9th)
Employee Discount: Half Day – $268 (Entering grades K-9th) | Full Day – $499 (Includes 4 Lunches | Only open to Entering grades 2nd-9th)
RTSA Day Camp is a high energy, educational environment for girls and boys of all ability levels. Campers will be exposed to technical and tactical lessons within exercises, fun activities and competitive small-sided games. The Alabama Soccer Stadium and University of Alabama Campus Recreational Division provide world class facilities for soccer training and other fun activities. UA coaching staff and players will be accompanied by other high-level coaches and players to provide the most rewarding Day Camp experience.
Bama Goalkeeping Academy – Girls Entering 5th Grade and Above
Dates: July 17-20
Cost: $761.50 (overnight only)
Goalkeepers will be taught the techniques, positioning, and decision-making processes of dealing with high balls, dealing with balls in behind the back line (thru balls & back passes), shot-stopping, and goalkeeping as the 1st Attacker – goal kicks, punts, passing/receiving, etc. Goalkeepers will have to play with their feet and help build the attack in small-sided games and match play as well as be exposed to managing the restraining line, crosses, and re-starts in large-sided games. Keepers will be prompted to read the game and use their voice to organize and command their team. GK camp activities and games will be used to apply all of the above while also creating a competitive AND supportive environment among those in attendance. Players will be grouped by age and ability. GKs will integrate with field players for match play and other competitions. Throw in some down time at the Residence Hall to hang out with fellow campers as well as Bama Soccer players and other camp staff, and this is the ultimate fun soccer experience for any level of player.

High School Elite ID Camp – Girls Entering 9th Grade and Above
Dates: July 17-20
Cost: $761.50 (overnight only)
The RTSA HS Elite ID Camp is designed to prepare female prospect-age players for the college soccer experience while also providing exposure to the University of Alabama coaching staff and other college coaches. On-field instruction, small-sided games, and 11v11 matches combined with life on campus in the Modern Suite-Style Residence Hall – to be assigned later – sharing meals and hanging out with fellow campers, Bama soccer players & coaches, and the camp coaching staff provide a fun bonding atmosphere for campers to get a feel for what is like to be a college soccer student-athlete. Each camper receives a written evaluation from a college coach. Throw in some down time at the Residence Hall to hang out with fellow campers as well as Bama Soccer players and other camp staff, and this is the ultimate fun soccer experience for any level of player.

Junior Elite Camp – Girls Entering Grades 5th-8th
Dates: July 17-20
Cost: $761.50 (overnight only)
The RTSA Junior Elite Camp is designed to provide a top soccer experience for serious youth players looking to take their game to the next level. On-field instruction, small-sided games, and 11v11 matches facilitated by energetic, knowledgeable college coaches and high-level youth coaches provides players with a great supplement to their training at home. One of the premier public universities of the South with world class athletics facilities and one of the most beautiful campuses in the USA creates a setting for a great overall experience here at Bama Soccer. Each camper receives a written evaluation from their camp coach. Throw in some down time at the Residence Hall to hang out with fellow campers as well as Bama Soccer players and other camp staff, and this is the ultimate fun soccer experience for any level of player.

Summer ID Camp – Girls Entering 9th Grade and Above
Dates: July 26-27
Cost: $310 (commuter camp)
RTSA ID Camps are designed to prepare female prospect-age players for the college soccer experience while also providing exposure to the University of Alabama coaching staff and other college coaches. On-field instruction, small-sided games, and 11v11 matches combined with discussions about Nutrition, Video Analysis, Recruiting Process, Player Development, and the College Experience provide an all-encompassing view into the life of an Alabama Soccer student-athlete. The University of Alabama Soccer Stadium, Hank Crisp Indoor Field, and UA Campus Recreation Services provide world class facilities for soccer training and competition. UA coaching staff and players will be accompanied by other college coaches and players to provide a professional soccer environment and a transparent look into the world of college soccer.
* This is a Commuter Camp. You will be required to secure your own lodging, transportation, and food. Campers should be accompanied by a guardian before, after, and in between field sessions of camp
