
Alabama Falls to Texas A&M in SEC Men’s Golf Championship Match Play Semifinals

The Crimson Tide earned its first match play semifinal appearance since 2018
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The No. 15 Alabama men's golf team dropped a 3-2 decision to No. 17 Texas A&M, with the final match going extra holes in the 2025 Southeastern Conference Championship match play semifinal on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide advanced to the tournament semifinals for the first time since 2018 after a 3-2 victory over No. 7 LSU in the morning's quarterfinal match.
The semifinal match came down to Jonathan Griz and Wheaton Ennis needing extra holes to decide with Ennis pulling it out in the end.
The Crimson Tide will wait to hear its named called in the 2025 NCAA DI Men's Golf Selection Show which will be televised on GOLF Channel on Wednesday, April 30 at noon CT.

- Dominic Clemons was dominant in his two matches on the day, defeating LSU's Matthew Dodd-Berry, 4&3, before topping Texas A&M's Jaime Montojo, 5&4
- Jones Free also went unbeaten on the day, defeating Alfons Bondesson 3&3 in his first match before taking down Phichaksn Maichon of Texas A&M, 2&1
