Alabama’s Sara Nayar Named to SEC Community Service Team

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama's Sara Nayar was named to the women's tennis Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the organization announced Thursday.

Volunteered several hours with Reading Allies, an innovative literacy program that helps below grade-level readers in first, second and third grade rise to grade-level standards through in-depth community tutoring
Spent time with Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama – an organization that provides mentoring services to youth who face some type of adversity
Nayar, alongside her teammates, worked with Habitat for Humanity, building a home for a person or family in need
During the month of October, she was a part of the Tide's Halloween Extravaganza which is an event hosted by the Alabama Athletics Department for the community of Tuscaloosa
On the court, Nayar leads Alabama in singles wins with 18 overall, which includes a 13-1 dual match record
Boasts a team-high 10 doubles victories with her partner Klara Miliceivic
