Alabama’s Sara Nayar Named to SEC Community Service Team

The UA transfer began giving back to the community shortly after arriving to The Capstone prior to the 2024-25 season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama's Sara Nayar was named to the women's tennis Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the organization announced Thursday.

- Volunteered several hours with Reading Allies, an innovative literacy program that helps below grade-level readers in first, second and third grade rise to grade-level standards through in-depth community tutoring
- Spent time with Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama – an organization that provides mentoring services to youth who face some type of adversity
- Nayar, alongside her teammates, worked with Habitat for Humanity, building a home for a person or family in need
- During the month of October, she was a part of the Tide's Halloween Extravaganza which is an event hosted by the Alabama Athletics Department for the community of Tuscaloosa
- On the court, Nayar leads Alabama in singles wins with 18 overall, which includes a 13-1 dual match record
- Boasts a team-high 10 doubles victories with her partner Klara Miliceivic
