
Alabama Lands Eight on CSC Academic All-District Team

Emily Jones, Diana Petkova, Cadence Vincent and Kailyn Winter earned the honor from the women’s team, while Toni Dragoja, Tommy Hagar, Tim Korstanje and Zarek Wilson represented the Crimson Tide men
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Eight members of the Alabama men's and women's swimming and diving team earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Tuesday.
Diana Petkova earned CSC All-District honors for the third consecutive year as both Tim Korstanje and Kailyn Winter picked up their second all-district nod. Toni Dragoja, Emily Jones, Tommy Hagar, Cadence Vincent and Zarek Wilson all earned Academic All-District recognition for the first time in their career.
All eight competitors were members of the Crimson Tide's NCAA Championships roster and held a grade point average above 3.50.
The Honorees
- All eight honorees were members of the Crimson Tide's NCAA Championship roster with seven of the eight swimmers securing 2025 All-America honors
- Cadence Vincent highlighted the group with six All-America accolades during the 2025 national championships
- She secured first-team recognition in the 50 freestyle before earning Second Team All-America honors in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay
- Vincent was also a two-time Southeastern Conference silver medalist, placing second in both the 50 freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay, along with CSC honoree Kailyn Winter, at the conference championships
- Emily Jones concluded the NCAA Championships as a four-time All-American (Second Team: 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay) as both Toni Dragoja and Winter earned a trio of All-American honors
- Dragoja was a member of the Tide's school-record-setting 800 freestyle relay team, which finished fourth at the national meet, and record-setting 400 freestyle relay, which finished ninth
- He also picked up second-team recognition in the 200 freestyle, while Winter notched second-team honors in the 200 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay
- Tommy Hagar earned two All-America accolades joining Dragoja as a member of the Tide's record-setting 800 freestyle relay team, before securing second-team honors in the 200 backstroke
- Diana Petkova's third CSC Academic All-District nod was highlighted by an All-America performance in the 400 freestyle relay as Tim Korstanje's second appearance on the academic list featured an 18th-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay and a 19th-place finish in the 400 medley relay at the NCAA Championships
- Zarek Wilson used a career-best 100 freestyle split as the leadoff of the 400 freestyle relay team to propel the quartet to a ninth-place finish and Second Team All-America honors at the NCAA Championships
