Alabama’s Molly Brown Davidson and Mattison Frick are both in the top 10 after 18 holes

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Alabama women's golf team sits in third place overall, with a team total of 11-over par 299 in the opening round of the Florida State Match Up.

The Crimson's Tide duo of Molly Brown Davidson and Mattison Frick are among the top 10 on the player leaderboard to lead the way in round one. Davidson tops UA as she is in seventh place at even-par 72 while Frick is tied for 10^th with an 18-hole score of 2-over par 74.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

The Crimson Tide posted the third-lowest average score (4.90) on Par 5 holes in the opening round
Molly Brown Davidson posted her ninth round this season, scoring par or lower
Davidson posted 14 pars, the second-most among the field
Mattison Frick recorded a trio of birdies, finishing the day in 10^th at 2-over par 74
Ryan Flynn was tied for the third-lowest average score (4.50) on par 5 holes throughout the field, ending the day in 17^th place with an 18-hole score of 3-over par 75

Competing as individuals, Isabella van der Biest sits in a tie for 40^th place along with Kennedy Carroll is tied for 58^th overall at 9-over par 81
