
Lemngole Earns Runner-Up Finish on Final Day of NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

The Crimson Tide sophomore clocked a 9:01.64 en route to the silver medal in the women’s 3,000m
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Alabama track and field's Doris Lemngole took silver in the women's 3,000m (9:01.64), to close action at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
With her first-place finish in the women's 5,000m (10 pts) and her second-place finish in the 3,000m (8 pts), Lemngole catapulted the UA women to a share of 11th place in the final team standings.
In total, Alabama had three student-athletes compete at the national meet in shot put. Treneese Hamilton (17.01m | 55-9.75) earned an 11th-place finish, while Mye'Joi Williams (16.71m | 54-10) ended in 14th place. On the men's side, Christopher Crawford took 10th (19.04m | 62-5.75) for the Tide.
With Ruben Banks' seventh-place finish (22.90m | 75-1.75) in the men's weight throw on Friday, the UA men concluded with a top-50 team finish.
