The Crimson Tide’s 197.650 team score was captured via season-high rotation scores on bars and floor
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 17 Alabama gymnastics program rolled past the No. 16 Arkansas Razorbacks Friday night behind a season-high team score 197.650-197.425. The Crimson Tide reached the mark after earning season-high apparatus scores on the uneven bars (49.475) and the floor exercise (49.675).
Alabama (4-6, 1-6 SEC) accumulated five event titles on the night – Karis German on vault behind a career-high 9.925, and a tie between Shania Adams (season-high) and Chloe LaCoursiere (career-high) on bars via a 9.950. Gabby Gladieux ended the night tying her career-high score of 9.975 for the event title, before also winning the all-around via a 39.525.
Alabama Head Coach Ashley Johnston Said
"I'm really proud of the team tonight. They fought and worked so incredibly hard to be able to come out here and just be their average. It was just exciting to see them translate all their work in the gym out on the competition floor and put a lot of those puzzle pieces together to create what was a really beautiful masterpiece tonight. So many individual breakthroughs, but I think the most important thing was the fire in their soul that continues to ignite, and a night like this reminds you that all the work, the failures, the losses and the hard moments along the way are absolutely part of every story and they lead to the breakthroughs and the highest-of-highs when you see those things pay off."
