Big Games, Homecoming on Deck for Football
We're looking forward to being back on campus for three-straight home games, including matchups against LSU (Saturday) and Oklahoma (Nov. 15), as well as Homecoming festivities the week of Nov. 9-15 at the Capstone.
The excitement will begin this Saturday when Coach Kalen DeBoer and his team take on the Tigers Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. CT. There is just something very special about a night game being played inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium, and this year's contest should be no different. Following that game marks the week of Homecoming in Tuscaloosa, which is always one of my favorite times of the year. There are several events planned throughout Homecoming week, which will be capped with the pep rally on Nov. 14 and the Homecoming parade on the morning of Nov. 15. The culmination of the week comes when we host nationally ranked Oklahoma on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game is sold out through the Alabama Ticket Office, however fans can search for tickets on SeatGeek.Â
SEC Champs!
Congratulations to Coach Dan Waters and the men's cross country team for winning the SEC Championship last week, as well as Doris Lemngole for defending her individual title in the women's race.Â
For the men, it marked the program's fourth consecutive top two finish as all five scoring runners placed in the top 20 of the 8K race. As a result, the team earned 64 points to win the title - 59 points clear of second place Georgia.
Meanwhile, Doris' time of 19:32.37 helped lead the women to a second-place finish in what was her cross country season debut. Meanwhile, freshmen Caren Kiplagat (third) and Cynthia Jemutai (fourth) both finished in the top five to give the Crimson Tide its second consecutive top two finish.
The feat marked the second straight year the Crimson Tide has won a team title (2025 - men, 2024 - women), and had both teams finish in the top two (2025 runner-up - women, 2024 runner-up - men).
Next up are the NCAA Regional Championships, which take place Friday, Nov. 14 in Huntsville, Ala.Â
Basketball Opens Season with Doubleheader Wins
Our men's and women's basketball teams officially tipped off their 2025-26 season with home victories on Monday. Coach Kristy Curry led her team to an 82-73 victory over Stetson to open the doubleheader while Coach Nate Oats and our men's team rolled through North Dakota with a 91-62 win. Coleman Coliseum was electric, and our fans were fantastic throughout the doubleheader.Â
You will be able to see more from the women this week as we will host McNeese State on Thursday night and Alcorn State next Monday (Nov. 10), with both contests tipping at 6 p.m. Meanwhile, the Crimson Tide men's team will prepare for the first of four consecutive top 25 matchups beginning this weekend when they travel to New York City to face No. 5 St. John's inside Madison Square Garden. The team then returns to host No. 1 Purdue on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. CT.Â
Soccer Shows Out in SEC Tournament
Our soccer team performed well down in Gulf Shores, Ala., at this week's Southeastern Conference Tournament, opening the event with a big 2-0 victory over No. 22 South Carolina in the first round on Sunday afternoon. Second half goals by Larkin Thomason in the 76th minute and Gianna Paul in the 89th lifted the team to the tournament quarterfinals for the fifth consecutive year.
In Tuesday's tightly-contested quarterfinals, we came up just short, falling to No. 8 Vanderbilt late by a score of 2-1. The team will now await its NCAA Tournament fate, with the selection show being held Monday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. CT. Good luck to Coach Hart and his team!Â
Swimming and Diving Back in Action This Week
Our swimming and diving team returns to action this weekend, as the team will travel to Baton Rouge, La., to participate in a double dual meet on Friday afternoon. The teams will compete against host LSU as well as Florida State and will look to build momentum heading into their winter invite at the end of the month. Good luck to Coach Margo Geer and her squad this weekend!
Men's and Women's Tennis set to Participate in ITA Sectionals
Our men's and women's teams have big tournaments this weekend as both will compete at the ITA South Sectional Championships, which will be held Nov. 6-9. The men will travel to Athens, Ga., while the women head off to Baton Rouge, La., with our student-athletes competing for spots in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships on Nov. 18-23.Â
Volleyball Picks Up Big Win, Hosts Final Two Home Matches Next Weekend
Congratulations to Coach Rashinda Reed and our volleyball team as they took down the Razorbacks in four sets Wednesday night in Fayetteville. It was the program's first win over Arkansas since Sept. 29, 2019 and first win in Fayetteville since Oct. 21, 2018.
The team will travel to face off against Oklahoma on Friday at 7 p.m. CT, before returning home to Foster Auditorium for the final two contests of the regular season. The Tide will open that weekend with Vanderbilt (Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. CT) before closing out the regular season against Missouri (Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. CT).
Bryant Society Welcomes 2025 Class
The Crimson Tide Foundation recognizes the incredible generosity of our donors through the Lifetime Giving Society and honors those whose philanthropy to Alabama Athletics reaches the Bryant Society. The first Bryant Society Induction Ceremony in 2015 honored the 16 donors whose lifetime contributions to the Crimson Tide Foundation at that time had reached at least $1 million. Due to the generosity of our loyal supporters, this has become an annual event giving us the opportunity to formally recognize and induct new Bryant Society members during a black-tie ceremony and dinner. This Friday night, we have the privilege of honoring the 2025 class of Bryant Society inductees. In addition to Friday night's festivities, these donors will be recognized in a special presentation at halftime of Saturday night's game. Please give them a round of applause on Saturday to thank them for their commitment to Alabama Athletics. We are profoundly thankful for the generosity of our Bryant Society members and the enduring impact they make on our programs.
University Spotlight
The 32nd annual Beat Auburn Beat Hunger food drive is underway and will run through November 20, with the winner being announced the following day. Since its inception in 1994, Alabama and Auburn have combined to raise over 8 million pounds of food for Alabamians. Collection barrels are located both on and off campus and are awaiting your non-perishable donations.Â
#RollTideFriday
Keep the #RollTideFriday photos coming! I can't say it enough, but the Alabama brand is worldwide, and I always love seeing the photos from around the world of our fans wearing Alabama crimson and white colors! I had two great photos submitted to me from David Williams with his family in front of the Twelve Great Apostles on Great Ocean Road. A beautiful site with a beautiful family! Roll Tide!
